2024 Ride Challenge is now available for registration

Published on 2/19/2024

“Quo Vadis?”

For 2024, the club officers have decided to stop using complicated math formulas (like addition) and just award one point for every location you visit up to a maximum of 7 points (1 location = 1 ticket).  This means, if you visit all the 25 locations, you still only get 7 tickets (but, at least, you can brag about it).

Distances to locations (shown in the table below) are from Sierra BMW. Even so, it’s recommended that you do your own independent Google research and route planning before heading out on the road. Some locations were clustered so more than one location can be visited on one trip. Others made the list just because they were unique. One has irregular hours and is seasonal.

The entry fee for this year’s contest is still just $20 and the drawing will be held at our next Annual HBMC Dinner. The first ticket drawn earns 50% of the entry fees collected and the 2nd and 3rd tickets drawn walk away with 25%. No person can win more than once.

To enter the contest, log on to the HBMC website, go to the “Event Calendar”, and then go to Feb 22nd where you will see the event of the Quo Vadis ride challenge. Click on the event and then on the “Register Now” and grab your credit card and follow the directions. You can also use this link to go directly to the registration page:  Quo Vadis Registration.  Once you have registered you will receive a copy of your official entry form via email. Use this form to track your progress and report your final results to Jim Edwards at the end of the challenge.

As in previous contests, a photograph is required showing both you and your bike at the location claimed. When you have completed the challenge, email your completed entry form to Jim Edwards at retiredgcb@sbcglobal.net. Jim will let you know what photos to forward to him to back up your claims. This contest ends on November 30th.

Once you have returned your completed form to Jim, he will compute the number of tickets you have earned in the challenge. The drawing tickets you earn will be given to you at the Annual HBMC Dinner and deposited in the drawing drum. If you are unable to attend the dinner your tickets will be placed in the drum anyway. You need not be present to win.
