President's Message - Q3 2025

Larry Reinhold | Published on 7/1/2025

High Beemers,

I trust that you and your families are well. Riding season is in full swing now and many of us have been on the road to great parts of the country (and internationally). Personally I just returned home from a week primarily in Idaho where the roads and scenery are fantastic. I know other members have been to rallies in Oregon, Idaho and Tennessee, and on trips around the western US, Mexico and Europe. Plus there are thousands of bikes out in our local area just about every day. And the hot weather looks like it is joining us now.

Club Rides & Events

During Q2 of 2025 we held all of our scheduled monthly rides and events, including the Monday breakfast rides, the Wednesday lunch rides, the Saturday preplanned rides and the Sunday improvised rides. Our annual dinner ride to the Iron Door near Graeagle was well attended but for various reasons (notably June snow but others as well), most of us traveled there and back in our four wheel cages. Reports for all rides and events are in the "Forums" section of the website.

2025 Ride Contest - On and On and On

We have record participation in this year's contest, with 27 of us signed up and visiting interesting locations selected by Jim Edwards. There are 20locations in western Nevada and eastern California to potentially visit at varying distances from Reno, andeach location is worth one point regardless of distance. You do not need to make it to all 20locations to achieve the maximum number of tickets in the drawing. The entry fee is only $20 and there is still plenty of time to enter thecontest, so if you are interested please go to the website and click on "On and On and On Registration" in the left navigation panel andfollow the prompts. Contact Jim directly if you have any questions about the contest.

Other

Out of our 107 regular members, only 16 are gray silhouettes, indicating the member has not uploaded a photo yet. Many of these are new members, so if you are one of the gray silhouettes please log onto the website and upload a headshot photo so we know who you are. Instructions on how to do that are on the website under the FAQ tab.

I look forward to more great riding this summer!
