President's Message - Q4 2025

Larry Reinhold | Published on 10/1/2025

High Beemers,

The summer/fall 2025 riding season is still in full swing. We have been blessed with great weather and no wildfire smoke this year in our local area. Keep your fingers crossed that it continues. But all good things must eventually come to an end, so likely in about a month we will need to think about riding in colder weather - use heated gear, dress in layers, monitor your hydration, watch the weather carefully, and monitor your bike's fluids and tire pressure.

Club Rides & Events

During Q3 of 2025 we held all of our scheduled monthly rides and events, including the breakfast rides on Mondays, lunch rides on Wednesdays, preplanned rides on Saturdays, improvised rides on Sundays and the annual fall BBQ. Additionally, three club members did an Iron Butt ride inside the Nevada borders and earned a well-deserved patch! Ride and event reports for all are on the website in the "Forums" section. Many thanks to Jim and Cindy Edwards for hosting the fall BBQ for the 2nd year at their private beach on Lake Tahoe. The weather was perfect and the location was unforgettable. Thanks also to everybody who brought side dishes and desserts and helped set up beforehand and clean up afterward.

During Q4 of 2025 we plan to hold all of our scheduled monthly rides, which will include Monday breakfast rides and Wednesday lunch rides each month but preplanned and improvised rides during October only. Please refer to the "Event Calendar" on the website for these events.

2025 Ride Contest - On and On and On

Believe it or not the annual ride contest is still open for registration for another two months. If you are interested, please enter by going to the website home page, and click on the first item in the "Upcoming Events" section titled "2025 Ride Contest - On and On and On" and follow the prompts. Contact Jim Edwards directly if you have any questions about the contest.
